Astrology for the USA. Most people are familiar with astrology on a day to day personal level, such as horoscopes commonly read in the newspapers. Even though personal astrology is the most common, astrology for entire countries and governments is just as strongly studied by astrologers.

An interesting look into our planets reveal big changes coming for the United States. Most notably, Pluto's ingress into the sign of Capricorn on January 25, 2008. Here it will stay until 2023. This earth sign establishes boundaries, where none existed at all.  The last time Pluto was in the sign of Capricorn was 1762-1777. During this transit there were three historically significant events: The treaty of Paris1763;  the American Revolution, 1775; and the Declaration of Independence, 1776. 

Pluto in Capricorn means we always have strong power over other governments and exploit them: spies, mudslinging, military force. Big businesses and government will be looking out for themselves, threatening individual wealth. Taxes going up gradually in the upcoming years (so what else is new?). Outsourcing of jobs could increase during this time. The downfall of the housing industry is an example of things that were "talked" about when Pluto was in the mutable sign of Sagittarius, now it is happening. The country felt they could spend, spend, spend then. Health care reform, immigration borders, have been talked about for years, now they will be dealt with. The economic stress will bring about the government changes needed. Some astrologers are thinking of a "revolution". The good news is: things will get down now. 

While most so far has addressed economic issues, Pluto in Capricorn also rules earth changes: volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, mount St. Helen's, St. Andreas fault, Yellowstone, and the New Madrid fault line. 

Most notably, the USA's birth chart is coming into the grand cross planetary configuration on August 7, 2010, this will be exact in the early morning hours @7a-8a CST. This will be the first of a couple of grand cross configurations, the next in 2012. The moon will be one corner of the grand cross, triggering more malefic planets on the other three corners of the cross. Some of these are slower moving outer planets like Pluto, Uranus, and Saturn. These are conjunct(next to) more benefic planets like Venus and Jupiter. While the grand cross configuration will be brief, the other half of the cross(T-square) will remain for longer and continue the energy work that the moon trigger had started. Many astrologers foresee this time as revolutionary, a time for major changes in this country. Wars and terrorism in this country are not excluded(not just somewhere else)!
